Teen Homeschool Talk Rules

To keep an account on Teen Homeschool Talk, you must follow our rules. They are listed below.

Membership Rules

You must be between 13 and 19 years of age when you first sign up. As long as you sign up when you are the correct age, you may keep your account until you are 25 years of age. Exceptions may be made by administrators.

You may have only one account. Exceptions may be made with an administrator's approval.

Non-admins may not log in on another person's account without explicit written permission from the other person. It's better if you inform an admin before you do this, too.

Media and Avatar Rules

Images may not contain nudity, curse words, gore, or other disturbing elements. No exceptions. Violators of this rule will be banned immediately.

Profile pictures (Avatars) may not contain nudity, curse words, gore, or other disturbing elements. No exceptions. Violators of this rule will be banned immediately.

You must have the legal rights to distribute any images you upload or link to.

Behaviour, Posting, and Content Rules

Teen Homeschool Talk does not tolerate spamming. Spamming has two definitions. These are a) the unauthorized posting of advertisements, usually in the form of links; and b) posting unrelated posts in topics. Spam type A is absolutely not allowed, and violators will be immediately banned. Type B is also not allowed, but is dealt with in a more lenient way. Just don't do either one, please.

Swearing is not allowed. Teen Homeschool Talk prides itself upon having members from all sorts of backgrounds. Because people from some backgrounds--or their parents--may be offended by foul language, we do not allow it. We feel that there are enough words in the English language for you to express yourself with without resorting to profanity. People who accidentally 'slip' and use curse words will be warned, and the curse words will be censored. People who use curse words on purpose, with the intent of breaking the rules, will be banned on the discretion of the administrators.

Inappropriate content, such as swearing, sexual content, graphically violent content, and other offensive content, is not allowed. Members who break this rule will be warned and the offensive post removed. Multiple offenses will result in permanent banning.

Trolling is not allowed. Trolling is posting offensive content with the intent to start a fight. Teen Homeschool Talk staff will decide what is trolling and what is not.

Arguments must be limited to polite debates. Name-calling and other offensive behavior will not be tolerated.

Chatbox Rules

Discussions in the chatbox are subject to the same rules as discussions in the forums. Administrators reserve the right to clear the chatbox if objectionable content is posted in it.

Images embedded in the chatbox should be no wider or taller than the default in-forum chatbox. Administrators reserve the right to clear the chatbox if images larger than this size are posted.
